Presentations of materials

In the course you will draw three different houseportraits with me.
Each houseportrait has 3 video lessons:
•  Sketch with your pencil
•  Draw with your pen
•  Color!

BASIC MATERIALS

Every ‘Sketch with your pencil‘ and ‘Draw with your pen‘ video lesson I work with the same materials.

•  a HB (mechanical) pencil from Tombow
•  an eraser from Faber-Castell
•  a waterproof black brush pen WS-BS from Tombow
•  a waterproof fineliner 0.1 from Edding
•  a sheet of white watercolor paper A6 size 350grs
•  a sheet of white watercolor paper A5 size 200grs + 350grs

Make sure you have the basic materials (or similar) ready in advance. Once you’ve started, you’ll want to continue drawing! 😉

COLOR!

With every three ‘Color!‘ video lessons I have used completely different materials. I did this to show you which types of materials and the associated techniques you can work with. It is to inspire you. You don’t have to buy all these materials, that’s not my goal..

Use the materials you already have at home or buy some new products that you would like to learn to work with and use those colors for the houseportraits. For the houseportrait of Malaysia I work with brush pens, I get to work with watercolor paint in Italy and for Cuba I use the alcohol markers.

A complete overview of the color materials can be found under the Materials tab.
